We are therefore pleased to announce that, at no extra cost to you, and in accordance with 'The Package Travel, Package Tours Regulations 1992' all passengers booking with Wilderness Escapes Ltd are fully insured for the initial deposit, and subsequently the balance of monies paid as detailed in your booking confirmation form. The policy will also include repatriation if required, arising from the cancellation or curtailment of your travel arrangements due to the insolvency of Wilderness Escapes Ltd.
This insurance has been arranged with Affirma a trading brand of MGA Cover Services Limited (registered address Farren House The Street, Farren Court Cowfold West Sussex RH 13 8BP, company registration: 08444204 authorized and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority registration number 678541) under a binding authority with the insurer CBL Insurance Europe Limited (registered address 2nd Floor 13-17 Dawson Street Dublin 2 Ireland, who are authorized and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority registration number 203120)
In the unlikely event of insolvency, you must inform Affirma (MGA Cover Services Limited) immediately on +44 (0) 20 3540 4422. Please ensure you retain this booking confirmation form as evidence of cover and value.
Policy exclusions: This policy will not cover any monies paid back to you by your Travel Insurance or any losses which are recoverable under another insurance or bond.
Public & Product Liability Insurance & Professional Indemnity
Wilderness Escapes Limited hold £5M public and liability insurance underwritten by Lloyds of London. We also carry £1M Professional Indemnity Insurance.
Personal Travel Insurance
Wilderness Escapes Limited expects that all customers must purchase and show proof of their own personal travel insurance within 2 weeks of departure.
The first time we meet our guests in person we present a number of safety briefings to the group before any activity commences. These are specific to the destination and the environment that you are staying in.
Our staff will always be mindful and proactive in re-iterating safety measures throughout your trip. This is for the benefit and general care of all of our customers. We believe that it is critical to our success that particular care and attention to the general well-being of guests is given by Wilderness Escapes delivery staff.
As back up, all of our staff are highly experienced in their field and carry an appropriate current first aid qualification as well as applicable outdoor activity qualifications. We carry Sat phone and VHF radio as our primary methods for contacting help should we need it in an emergency situation. In addition, for your peace of mind, we carry flares and have an adequate safety boat as back up.
